Because we’re all cooped up this winter — even more than usual (yes, thank you, pandemic) — something wonderfully warming and soothing really hits the spot right about now.

Adagio Teas, a family-owned company with facilities in California, New Jersey, and the United Kingdom, has created two holiday samplers that fit the bill in a most fun, festive way. I had a chance to try samples of the new offerings.

The “12 Days of Christmas” set features 12 reusable tins, each decorated with a different holiday motif and holding a different single serving of loose tea.

The selection includes White Pear, Candy Cane, Rooibos Nutcracker, and Jasmine Phoenix Pearls. Each tin has a red ribbon, so you could even hang these on your holiday tree. While the 12 teas work as a set, you could also break them up, leaving one tin on each of your neighbor’s porches to say you’re thinking of them during this unprecedented time.

The “Tea Advent Calendar” ($29) is a delightful way to count down the days until Christmas. This calendar features 24 hidden slots, each hiding a different tea to enjoy, such as Golden Turmeric Chai, Almond Oolong, Elderberry Wine, and Chocolate Truffle.

For those who long for 2020 to be over with, these daily tea surprises provide a most welcome balm as the days count down.
